Sports retail startup PlayBlue has raised $2.7 million in a seed funding round co-led by Centre Court Capital and MIXI Global, with additional backing from WEH Ventures. The funding will help the company accelerate its growth and strengthen its footprint in India’s expanding sports retail sector.
With the new capital, PlayBlue plans to open flagship retail outlets and build a nationwide e-commerce platform, offering customers seamless access to sports products through both offline and online channels. This move is aimed at enhancing its omnichannel presence and improving customer reach.
PlayBlue, which focuses on making sports gear and apparel more accessible, is working towards scaling its operations while targeting revenue growth and profitability. The company aims to establish a strong position in India’s rapidly growing sports and fitness market.
